General and Vascular Sonography

SonoMax offers high-quality imaging service in an impressive variety of modalities to suit your practice's needs.  Our clinics include Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology, Urology, Vascular Surgery, OB/GYN, and Podiatry.  Our general imaging studies include full abdominal, transabdominal/transvaginal gynecology, biophysical profile, nuchal translucency, fetal growth and viability, testicular, thyroid, arterial, bilateral venous, carotid, transcranial Doppler, venous reflux, and abdominal aorta.

SonoMax takes great pride in implementing the latest knowledge and advancements in venous insufficiency, and it is for this reason that we dedicate a minimum of forty-five minutes per reflux study.  We feel that by building a personal one-on-one relationship between the Registered Phlebology Sonographer and the patient from the initial reflux study to the very last procedure, we are able to maintain both consistency and an intimate understanding of each patient's anatomy and symptomology.  Traditional reflux studies of the past only included investigation of the four truncal veins.  Each venous insufficiency patient is like a fingerprint, and is subsequently NOT subjected to identical reflux protocols or procedures.  The key to patient satisfaction and ultimate resolution of symptoms is individualized care, which is why special attention is also paid to non-truncal veins such as the lateral subdermal plexus, perforating and connecting veins, iliac veins, and the three pelvic veins of the great saphenous junction. Because venous insufficiency is not strictly limited to the lower extremities, we are vigilant for signs and symptoms of pelvic congestive syndrome including but not limited to pelvic varices, refluxing pudental and ovarian veins, and Nutcracker Syndrome.  We collaborate with deep vein specialists from all areas of the country to ensure the proper avenues and sequence of events for each patient.

Echocardiography

SonoMax is proud to incorporate adult echocardiography into your medical practice, as well as our billing and reporting support.  Our echocardiography clients typically include Cardiology, Pulmonology, Internal, and Family practices.

Assistance and Training in Venous Ablation, Sclerotherapy, and Stab Phlebectomy

SonoMax provides a truly customized service depending on the client's needs and requirements. From start to finish, we are highly qualified in the interrogation of venous insufficiency through our customized reflux mapping protocols, ClosureFast procedure support, and post-procedural imaging.

Endovenous Thermal Ablation is a minimally invasive and virtually pain-free method of eliminating the incompetent truncal veins of the superficial venous system. A small catheter is inserted into the incompetent vein and passively closes the vein through the administration of heat after the patient has been locally anesthetized. This procedure will then allow the blood to reroute to competent veins and eliminate the hypertensive venous state that was caused by incompetent valves. There is no down-time and the patients are free to go about their day immediately post-procedure.

We also offer sclerotherapy, exit phlebectomy, microphlebectomy, and stab phlebectomy support and training both in conjunction with ablation procedures and cosmetically through transillumination technology,  ensuring optimal accuracy and patient satisfaction. Many patients express the desire to "see" the difference, as well as feel the difference. This phase is when the true artistry of vein aesthetics is implemented, completing the full spectrum of treatment.
